When cancellation makes sense

What you should know before you start
Your refund depends entirely on the sitter's cancellation policy (same-day, one-day, three-day, or seven-day), not Rover's policy. The timing of your cancellation matters enormously. Canceling within seven days of your booking start may trigger Rover's "reservation protection," which adds a CAD $15 credit (or CAD $30 for overnight stays canceled the day before or day of) on top of your refund. Processing takes 1 to 3 business days on Rover's end, but your bank may take up to 5 to 10 additional business days to post funds to your account.
