Terms of Service

The rules for using Stopee: what the cancellation service does, what it costs, how to stop your subscription, and who is liable for what.

1. Who runs Stopee

Stopee is published and operated by Stopee Solutions Limited (C 114787), a company registered in Malta.

  • Registered office:
  • VAT identification: MT3266-6716
  • Site: https://www.stopee.com
  • Questions, complaints and support: [email protected]

Hosting is provided by OVHcloud (OVH SAS)., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, whose site is https://www.ovhcloud.com.

2. What these terms cover and when they change

These terms of sale and use set out what Stopee Solutions Limited (C 114787) owes you and what you owe us when you use Stopee. Browsing or ordering on stopee.com means you accept them in full.

We can change these terms whenever we need to. The version that governs your order is the one published when you place it.

If we raise a price, you will be told one month before the new price applies, and you can end your subscription before that date.

The dashboard is reachable from 180 countries and is offered in 40 languages. Where a translated version reads differently from the English one, the English text decides.

4. What you are buying

Stopee is a subscription manager. You bring your recurring subscriptions together in one dashboard, see what each one costs you, and pick the ones you want to end. For every one you pick, we draft the cancellation letter, send it to the merchant and hand you back the proof. Your subscription buys:

  • drafting and customising cancellation letters, either from a Template or with the help of our AI writer;
  • electronic transmission of the letter to the merchant, carrying a cryptographic timestamp that records the exact date and hour it left;
  • certification of each dispatch by writing the document's unique fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) onto a public blockchain, so the letter is traceable, verifiable by any third party and impossible to alter after the fact;
  • a digital proof certificate that gathers the timestamp, the hash, the blockchain transaction identifier, the sender and recipient identities and, where one exists, the receipt showing the letter reached the merchant;
  • coverage of more than 180 countries.

Where the destination allows it, you can ask us to generate an electronic delivery receipt confirming that the letter was made available to the merchant.

Certificates, hashes, timestamps and dispatch logs are kept by us for twelve (12) months at the very least, so you can produce them later. Before a court they carry the presumption attached by Article 43(2) of the eIDAS Regulation to a qualified electronic registered delivery service.

5. What Stopee is not

  • We are not a bank or a payment institution. We do not hold your money, we do not sit between you and the merchant's charges, and we cannot stop a direct debit ourselves. Cancelling in Stopee means a letter goes out; the merchant is the one that closes the contract and stops billing.
  • We do not promise the merchant will accept your cancellation. What we guarantee is that the letter was written, sent and time-stamped, and that you hold the proof of it.
  • We are not a law firm and we give no legal advice. The AI writer produces a draft; the wording you approve is yours, and you answer for it.
  • Our sending is electronic only. We do not print, fold, frank, carry or deliver anything ourselves, and the service is not registered post within the meaning of the postal and electronic communications codes.
  • The service is not postal registered mail. It is a qualified electronic registered delivery service under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS), which means a court presumes the letter's contents, its sender, its recipient and its date to be what the proof says they are.

Transmission to the merchant happens within moments of validation. How quickly the merchant opens the letter, and whether it replies, is outside our hands.

6. Validating a letter, and how long delivery takes

When you validate a File you are giving final agreement, and production starts on the spot.

Nothing can be edited or withdrawn afterwards. A wrong contract number, a mistyped address or a broken format is on you.

Across the major markets (Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia) the average we observe is 7 business days to delivery. Letters addressed to France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malta, Qatar and Saudi Arabia usually arrive inside that window, without any guarantee that they will.

Everywhere else the local postal network sets the pace and 15 days can be exceeded. Treat all of these figures as indications. None of them is a contractual undertaking.

Evidence of posting and of receipt comes from the partner Postal Operators. Between you and us, the tracking data shown in your Account is what counts.

7. Your account

You cannot use Stopee without opening an Account. Your login details belong to you alone and must stay confidential; anything done with them is treated as done by you. Keep the information in your Account correct and up to date.

We may suspend or close an Account where there is fraud, an unpaid amount or a breach of this contract.

8. What you must supply, and what you promise us

You warrant that the content you send and the addresses you give us are accurate and lawful. You undertake to respect the law that applies to you, in particular the rules on personal data and on electronic communications. If a letter is refused or returned because the address was wrong, the consequences are yours.

You may not use Stopee to send:

  • content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful or discriminatory;
  • documents that are forged, falsified or counterfeit;
  • unsolicited commercial messages, in other words spam;
  • another person's confidential or personal information without their permission;
  • anything that would breach an embargo or an international sanctions regime.

Breaking this clause gets the Account suspended immediately.

We run anti-fraud and compliance checks, including KYC and AML screening. A letter that is unlawful, fraudulent or contrary to international sanctions can be blocked or deleted, and no money is returned for it.

The same applies more broadly: fraud, non-payment, abuse of the service, a breach of the law or a breach of these terms lets us suspend or close your Account, with nothing refunded for the period underway.

9. Price, trial and monthly subscription

Prices are set in euros. Any other currency shown is a conversion given for guidance. What you pay for is access to the software service; postage costs sit outside it.

Tax is added according to where you are: local VAT, the EU OSS scheme, or the rules of the Malta Data Protection Authority as applicable.

Card is the only accepted method, and payments run through Stopee.fr. Subscribing means authorising us to take the recurring charge. If a charge fails or is refused, we may cut off access to the Account until it is settled.

The 48-hour trial

You can start with a 48-hour promotional offer priced at R 18,05 incl. VAT, which opens the whole of Stopee to you straight away.

Validating that order means you accept the following expressly and irrevocably:

"I am taking the 48-hour promotional offer at R 18,05, and I authorise an automatic charge of R 982,94 a month once the 48 hours have run out, with no minimum term and with the freedom to cancel whenever I want."

When the 48 hours end, R 982,94 incl. VAT is charged automatically for your first subscription month. The subscription then renews month by month at R 982,94 incl. VAT, and you are never tied to a minimum duration.

Cancel during the 48-hour promotional window and the smallest sum you will have paid is R 18,05 incl. VAT.

10. Stopping your Stopee subscription

This is about ending your subscription to us, not about the merchant subscriptions you cancel through the product.

You can end it at any moment from your Account. It stops at the close of the billing period you are currently in, and you keep access until then.

A period that has begun is owed in full. Sums already taken are not returned, and neither is anything paid for work already carried out, whether that is generating a document, printing, postage or transmitting a letter.

11. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU and EEA

Before you validate anything, you state that you want the service performed at once and do not want to sit out the fourteen (14) day statutory period set by Article L.221-18 of the Consumer Code.

Ticking the box provided at checkout waives your withdrawal right expressly and irrevocably, as Article L.221-25 of the Consumer Code permits, and that is what buys you immediate access.

Because document generation by artificial intelligence, printing and postage are performed in their entirety the moment a File is validated, no refund, whether whole or partial, can be claimed after that.

Business customers

There is no right of withdrawal.

12. Availability, warranties and how far our liability goes

The site runs around the clock, apart from maintenance, technical incidents and force majeure. We may interrupt access temporarily without warning you first and without owing compensation.

The service is supplied as it stands. We warrant nothing about its legal conformity, its completeness or its performance.

Mail is handed to domestic or international Postal Operators. Carriage and final delivery rest with them alone, and if something goes wrong in transit, any compensation we pass on is capped at what the operator grants.

Taken together, our liability towards you cannot exceed what you have paid us over the preceding 12 months, with a floor of €100.

Indirect loss is excluded, and that covers lost turnover, harm to reputation and loss of data.

13. Intellectual property

The site, its databases, its content, the Stopee logos and every Template are protected works.

You may not copy, extract or republish any of it unless Stopee has agreed in writing beforehand.

What you get is a licence to use the service personally. It cannot be transferred and it cannot be exploited commercially.

14. Your personal data

How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy published on stopee.com, and that document governs, in line with the GDPR and the PDPL. We do not repeat it here, so read it there.

Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are in place, and the documents you create are held only for as long as your subscription lasts. Data questions go to [email protected].

15. Complaints, governing law and courts

Bring a complaint to [email protected] first, or to [email protected] if it concerns a charge. Most disputes are settled there.

These terms are governed by Maltese law.

The courts of Malta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save where a mandatory consumer protection rule gives you the right to go elsewhere.
